Britney Spears Takes "Krispy Kreme" Donut Eating Crown!
E-Crap, NJ, August 6, 2003 - In an upset worthy to be included among the '69 Mets, the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey Team, and Seabiscuit, Pop superstar Britney Spears has defeated WWE (and movie) star "The Rock" in the first annual "Celebrity Krispy Kreme Donut Eating Challenge!"
Initially scheduled to be merely an appearance at the 2003 Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles, Miss Spears decided to take part in the Krispy Kreme challenge, a feat she had been practicing for during the last few months. Ever since her breakup with Michael Jackson impersonator Justin Timberlake, Britney has developed quite an appetite for America's new favorite donuts.
During the days leading to the Krispy Kreme challenge, Britney apparently began having second thoughts about going through with her entry. When the list of participants was announced, it included several worthy contenders including eventual runner-up The Rock, Jennifer (J.Lo) Lopez, Louie Anderson, Pamela Anderson, Pamela's former beau Kid Rock (who needs to gain nearly 100 pounds for his first film starring role in the new "Urban Cowboy" sequel "Urban Cowpoke"), Rosie O'Donnell, and Pee Wee Herman (who has been rumored to be using Krispy Kreme donuts for reasons other than late night snacks).
Once it was learned that odds-on favorite Rosie O'Donnell was unable to get through her home's front door to make the contest in time, Britney decided to participate. In the end, it came down to Britney and The Rock for all the saturated fat, and Britney won like a man. In a poignant moment shared with runner-up The Rock (captured above right), Britney explains to The Rock just how wide she needed to expand her stomach cavity to let that 25th donut (and competition winner) make its way to her esophagus. Initially, it was widely rumored that she was instead explaining to The Rock how big her breasts were going to become if she kept eating Krispy Kreme donuts by the dozen.
Reportedly, Britney will begin training for next year's contest in a few weeks, after a short vacation in Hershey, PA.
